Aaron Castilla - Vocals, Fiddle, Mandolin, Guitar
Born and raised in Spokane, Washington, Aaron Castilla, at age 22 has been playing music since he was 8 years old. He has studied under many great musicians including five-time National Grand Champion Tony Ludiker and two-time National Grand Champion Jaydean Ludiker. Those musicians ended up leading him to the Doo-Wah Riders. Aaron himself has won the Inland Northwest Bluegrass Association Best Fiddle Player Award; he is a two-time winner at the Northwest Regional Fiddle Competition, and has placed in the Top 10 at the National Old-Time Fiddlers Competition.
Aaron is a triple threat too! Not only does he shred on the fiddle, but he also is proficient on the mandolin and the acoustic guitar. And although singing is rather new to him, he has taken on the task with great enthusiasm and is now singing lead on a few songs. He'd like to give a big shout out to all of his friends up at Ludiker Music in Spokane, Washington.
When not touring with The Doo-Wah Riders you can find Aaron at a local bluegrass jam session tearing it up with his favorite musical cohorts. He loves all kinds of music and is constantly learning new material. And we welcome Aaron to his new position as the Doo-Wah Riders' Social Media Manager.
